The following changes between require changes in existing applications that use the affected feature.
The customization/entities collection and the customization/entity resource no longer return data compliant with the EntityDescriptor and EntityDescriptors schemas.
The customization/entities collection now returns data compliant with the entity-resource-descriptors schema. The customization/entity resource returns data compliant with the entity-resource-descriptor schema.
The string returned by GET on the lock resource now returns a string compliant with the LockStatusEntity schema.
Aliases are now used in cross-queries instead of the relation-role parameter.
The relation-role query parameter is no longer supported. Replace usages of the relation-role query parameter with relation alias or entity names.
For browser users, attachments are not downloaded by default.
The new default behavior is to ask the user whether to open the attachment or save it. If default downloading is required, enable it using the DOWNLOAD_REST_ATTACHMENTS site parameter.
This change was driven by security concerns. It avoids running an executable attachment by default.
The defect-link resource now returns data compliant with the entity schema.
The application/atom+xml accept header is deprecated.
Do not use application/atom+xml in ACCEPT headers or alt clauses. Use xml or json instead.
