SAP BOBJ license reactivation

The SAP BOBJ license depends on the validity of the SHR license. If the SHR license expires, it deactivates the SAP BOBJ license key and disables all the SAP BOBJ servers. After you renew the SHR license and access the Administration Console, SHR automatically reactivates the SAP BOBJ license key. However, the SAP BOBJ servers remain in the disabled state. To ensure that SAP BOBJ works, you must manually enable the servers by performing the following steps:

  1. Log on to the SHR host system.
  2. Click Start > Programs > BusinessObjects XI 3.1 > BusinessObjects Enterprise > Central Configuration Manager. The Central Configuration Manager window opens.
  3. In the Display Name column, select Server Intelligence Agent (HOML01GEATON).
  4. On the main toolbar, click the Manage Servers icon. The Log On dialog box opens.
  5. In the System list, select the system on which SAP BOBJ is installed.
  6. In the User name and Password field, type the user credentials for the SAP BOBJ server. The default user name is Administrator and the Password field should be left blank.
  7. Click Connect. The Manage Servers window opens.
  8. Click the Refresh icon to refresh the server list.
  9. Click Select All to select all the listed servers and then click the Enable icon to restart the servers.
  10. Click Close to close the window. Close all open windows.
