Hardware and Software SupportBefore installing PI, make sure your system meets the following minimum software requirements.
Note: The Sybase Adaptive Server 15.0.2 and Sybase Adaptive Server 15.0.3 are shipped with PI 5.41. You must install the Sybase database from the PI 5.41 Installation DVD only.

Note: *These versions are supported on Windows 2008 64-bit and Linux 64 bit platforms only.
Note: Each report pack and datapipe on the Reporting and Network Solutions CD have individual version numbers. PI 5.41 supports those versions that are delivered on the November 09 CD. If the same version of a report pack or datapipe is available on an earlier CD, it is supported.
Note: Oracle database is supported at the minor level with the minimum level specified. For example, Oracle 10g is supported at the minimum release of Oracle 10.2.0.4 and Oracle 11gR2 is supported at minimum release of Oracle 11.2.0.1. Future maintenance releases of Oracle on the same minor are expected to be supported, unless a conflict specific to that release arises. To continue the example, expect Oracle 10g to be supported on 10.2.0.5, 10.2.0.6, etc and Oracle 11gR2 to be supported on 11.2.0.3, 11.2.0.4, etc .
For all other components, only the versions stated in this release matrix will be supported.
PI 5.41 supports mixed heterogenous operating system environment under the Distributed setup. You could have different Operating Systems for different servers like central, satellite servers. However, the versions and database compatibility support should adhere to the above matrix table.
PI 5.41 does not support mixed version support. This means all systems in the distributed environment should have the same version level.

Note: It is recommended to run PI on a stand alone server. However PI is supported with the above products on a co-existence scenario provided enough resources are planned and allocated. See the PI Release Notes for the Known Issues with the co-existence scenarios.
Note: Co-existence with HP Operations Agent (OA) version 11.1x is not supported currently.
Note: *Hotfix is required to support co-existence with these versions on Windows 2008 and RHEL 5.4/5.6/5.8 64 bit . Contact HP support for the hotfix.
You can install PI on any language version of the OS.
PI 5.41 software is localized in Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
PI 5.41 manuals are localized in Japanese.
PI 5.41 release on Windows 2008 and Linux RHEL 5.4 64 bit is only an English release and does not support localization.
