Error -2147016690 when attempting to extend the schema using adschema.exe.

User gets errors when attempting to update the schema using adschema.exe tool in preparation for Securelogin 5.x or greater deployment in active directory on domain controller.

The user running adschema.exe is an Enterprise Admin, with Schema Admin permissions.

Possible Cause

Permissions issue. User does not have rights to set additional attributes for the users.

Solution

Right click on adschema.exe and choose run as. Excplicitly enter your user credentials/password
