SecureLogin Error: No user found. Please check the username, password and search attributes.

Novell SecureLogin SSO



Situation

After installing SecureLogin in LDAP mode and starting the client, the user enters their Username and Password but the following message appears:

No user found. Please check the username, password and search attributes.

Resolution

The problem could be caused by one of the following;

  • Invalid Username
  • Invalid Password
  • Locked Account
  • The context for the user object is incorrect
  • The certificate file is not valid (it must be in .DER format with a .DER extension)
Verify each and attempt to authenticate again.

Solution

Verify all of the above.
