Windows 2000 machine switched to AES encryption of SSO credentials (administrator set âUse AES for SSO data encryptionâ to âYesâ using SecureLogin preferences). This results in error:
The encryption type selected is not supported on this platform. Please contact your system administrator.
AES encryption of SSO data is only supported on Windows XP or later. The Microsoft CryptoAPIâs that come with earlier versions of Windows do not support AES encryption. Set âUse AES for SSO data encryptionâ to âNoâ or upgrade the workstation to Windows XP or later.
With AES set to No, 3DES encryption is used. This is supported on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
If passphrases are enabled, users may be prompted for their passphrase question to decrypt the data using 3DES and encrypt the data using AES.
