NSL error: your password or PIN is incorrect

Password protected system tray icon

Situation

When accessing the system tray icon, a user is prompted to enter their PIN. The following message is displayed:

Your password or PIN is incorrect

Resolution

You must enter the PIN or password that you used to logon to Windows. If you logged on using a password but have since inserted your smart card, you must enter your password to unlock the system tray icon.

The system tray icon verifies via the same method used to logon to the workstation on initial logon.
