How the offline cache synchronizes with the Directory credential store upon reconnect

Often times, users run NSL in 'disconnected' mode relying on their local cache file for credentials, and application settings.  The question often comes up on what happens when they change a password, make a setting change, etc. while 'disconnected'.

Any changes are stored in the off-line cache and NSL will synchronized with the directory when the user is next connected.  Whatever data has the most recent timestamp (the off-line cache or the data store)will be synchronized.
