Environment

SecureLogin SSO

Situation

MMC snap-in was used to set the following preference on a container object:

Stop walking here = Yes

However, after clicking OK to the setting on the child container, users still receive applications and preferences that have been defined at the parent container.

Resolution

For optimal performance, the Stop walking here preference is only read when SecureLogin loads (as is the Display System Tray icon preference).

Simply re-load Securelogin to apply the setting.

Additional Information

By default, SecureLogin will search up the Directory structure for SecureLogin applications and preferences to apply.

To prevent SecureLogin from searching up the Directory structure, typically to assist with speed and performance issues when poor WAN links exist, set this option to "Yes" at the desired container.
