Situation

How can I manually register the iesso.dll SecureLogin browser helper object for Internet Explorer Single Sign-on functionality?

Manually registering the iesso.dll BHO

Resolution

SecureLogin installs iesso.dll as a browser helper object (BHO). The browser helper object provides SecureLogin’s “link” to Internet Explorer and is responsible for web SSO functions such as reading URLs and text on the screen to identify logon, change password, and failed logons, etc.

Note: In version 3.5 and later the BHO can be found under;

HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBrowser Helper Objects{7DE7B623-A17E-4A0B-94BA-D1B3BA646792}

You should uninstall and re-install SecureLogin to reinstall the browser helper object. If for some reason it doesn’t register correctly:

Start -> Run -> regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\ActivIdentity\SecureLogin\iesso.dll"
