Error “SecureLogin’s attempt to load your data from the directory failed (error -2147016694 )."

Installed SecureLogin in Active Directory mode and the following error occured when running SecureLogin:

SecureLogin’s attempt to load your data from the directory failed (error -2147016694 ). SecureLogin is not switching to offline mode.

Extend the Active Directory schema on a Domain Controller and assign the user’s rights as per the adsschema.exe tool. User will  then able to set their passphrase and load SecureLogin as expected.

Root Cause

User attempting the set the passphrase before the Active Directory schema had been extended. All SecureLogin data is stored in the schema.
