Situation

Issue

Customer is installing SecureLogin in an NT 4.0 environment. They read the documentation about creating a passphrase policy. However, they cannot set a passphrase policy.

Resolution

Cause

Due to limitations in NT 4.0 domains, passphrase policies are not supported. They work perfectly well with ADS, eDirectory and LDAP v3 compliant Directories.

Solution

Upgrade the desktop OS to a Microsoft supported platform, upgrade to a Directory environment (e.g. ADS, eDirectory, SunOne) or dont use passphrase policies.
