Applies to: PowerRecon v3.0 and higher

Situation

This article discusses the steps required to send the PostgeSQL database used by PowerRecon 3.0 to PlateSpin Support.

Resolution

Please take the following steps on the machine hosting PowerRecon 3.0 and its PostgeSQL database files:

  1. Stop the following services:

    -PlateSpin Recon Service 
    -PlateSpin Recon Monitoring Service
    -World Wide Web Publishing service

  2. Open PgAdmin III from the Start menu
  3. Right click on both databases and choose backup
  4. Archive the backup and email or upload to PlateSpin support
  5. Restart the services from step 1
