Situation

This article provides a list of file systems that PlateSpin Migrate and Protect support for conversion.

Resolution

PlateSpin PowerConvert  / Portability Suite supports the conversion of source machines which contain the following file systems:

Windows File Systems:

  • FAT
  • FAT32
  • NTFS

Linux File Systems:

  • EXT2
  • EXT3
  • REISERFS

 

NOTE:  For Live Transfer conversions and Block-level replication, only NTFS file systems are supported.
