Situation

 

This article describes an issue that may occur when performing a X2P conversion with PlateSpin Migrate or Protect. The job fails at "Creating and Partitioning Volumes" with the following error.

“DiskPart failed to execute script to create logical partition.”

 

This issue can occur if the Target Server has SAN attached drives with multipathing enabled.

 

Resolution

In order to bypass this issue disable the Multipath on the SAN and attempt the conversion again.

After completing the conversion you can then enable multi-path.
