Unauthorized access: Access to [PATH] is denied when importing or exporting a site snapshot in Recon

During the import or export of a Recon site snapshot, the job fails with the following error:

 Unauthorized access: Access to the path 'c:\temp\secure\1.prs' is denied. Please check the impersonated user has write permissions to the path

This error message will occur if the path specified for the snapshot .prs file does not allow READ (for importing) or WRITE (for exporting) permissions for the security principal account used for the PlateSpin.service.exe. 

By default the security principal account is the SYSTEM account if a local path (i.e.  C:\temp or D:\temp) is specified.

For remote resources (i.e. UNC paths), the credentials specified by the user will be used instead:

To resolve the issue, please ensure that the SYSTEM account or the credentials specified have READ (Import) or WRITE (Export) permissions to the desired path.
