PlateSpin Migrate, Protect, or Forge used to perform V2V conversions or protection.
Situation
When performing a V2V job (from ESX to ESX, ESX to GSX or vice versa) the target VM will not have the source's VMtools user defined settings and scripts.
Resolution
During a V2V conversion job PlateSpin will reinstall VMware VMtools on the target VM and all non-default settings will not be migrated.
