Discovering source or target servers with non standard SSH/SFTP ports

Environment

PlateSpin Migrate or Protect with Linux source or target servers.

Situation

 

Red Hat Linux servers and VMware ESX Server use the standard SSH/SFTP port 22 by default. 

If your Red Hat Linux source server or VMware ESX Server uses a non-standard SSH/SFTP port (i.e. port number other than 22), then you will need to specify the port number when performing the discovery.

 

Resolution

For example, if you were attempting to discover a Red Hat Linux ES 3.0 source server named "redhat.platespin.com" that has the SSH/SFTP port set to 22000, then you would enter the discovery details as per the screenshot below:
