Situation
When performing a conversion with a Windows 2000 Uni-processor server to a Multi-processor target VM on VMware ESX Server, the following STOP: 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL may appear:
The above error will most likely cause a failure at the Configure <target VM> stage. Although, the job may have failed, the overall conversion is still essentially successful.
Resolution
Reboot the target VM. Upon reboot, Windows 2000 will load successfully without the blue screen.
