Situation

Analysis Center 2.7.5 installation fails while accessing websites.txt on Windows2008.

Resolution

To resolve this issue install the IIS 6 Management Compatibility feature:

  1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager
  2. Expand Roles > Click on Web Server (IIS)
  3. Choose Add Role Services
  4. Select IIS 6 Management Compatibility ensuring all sub-components are selected
  5. Choose Next, then Install

Once the additional components are installed, restart the Analysis Center install process and verify the error has been resolved.

Cause

The IIS 6 Management Compatibility feature is not installed by default in IIS 7 and is required.
