How do I enable logging in VPC?

How do I collect logs in VPC?

How do I collect VigilEnt Policy Center logs for troubleshooting purposes?

Resolution

To enable logging in VPC:

  1. Log on to the VPC Admin site
  2. Go to Otions and select Enable Diagnostic logging (high)

VPC logs are stored in the following directory: ...\VigilEnt Policy Center\server\logs

For diagnostic troubleshooting NetIQ Technical Support will typically request the following logs for review:

  • stderr.log
  • stdout.log
  • vpcDebug.log
  • vpcSyncDebug.log
  • Sync Diagnostics
