This hotfix includes Hotfix 73042. For more information about Hotfix 73042, see Previous Releases. This hotfix also resolves the following issues:

  • Resolves an Issue With Unplanned Shutdown During Mailflow Update

  • Resolves an Issue With Synchronization of Renamed Folders
  • Resolves an Issue With Database Growth During Public Folder Synchronization

Installing This Hotfix

You can install this hotfix whether or not you previously installed Hotfix 73042. Complete the following steps to install this hotfix.

To install this hotfix:

  1. Log on to the NetIQ Exchange Migrator console computer with the Exchange Migrator user account.
  2. Ensure no projects are still running and then close any open instances of Exchange Migrator.
  3. Run the EM80000_Hotfix73196.exe file.
  4. Follow the instructions in the wizard until you have finished installing the hotfix.


Verifying the Hotfix Installation

Complete the following steps to verify that the hotfix installation was successful.

To check the installed hotfix version:

  1. Log on to the NetIQ Exchange Migrator console computer with the Exchange Migrator user account.
  2. Check the value of the Windows Registry key Hotfix in one of the following locations:
    • 32-bit OS: My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\ExchangeMigrator
    • 64-bit OS: My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NetIQ\ExchangeMigrator
  3. After you install this hotfix, the value of the Hotfix key is 73196.

This hotfix modifies the following files in the installation folder, by default C:\Program Files\NetIQ\Exchange Migrator for 32-bit installations or C:\Program Files (x86)\NetIQ\Exchange Migrator for 64-bit installations:

  • DirMigrOps.dll (Build Number 343)
  • DirSyncOps.dll (Build Number 343)
  • EMAMapiUtil.dll (Build Number 343)
  • EMAWizards.dll (Build Number 343)
  • EMDBMgr.dll (Build Number 343)
  • EMProfileUpdate.exe (Build Number 343)
  • ExchangeUtil.dll (Build Number 343)

This hotfix also updates the value of the My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\Exchange Migrator\Hotfix (32-bit) registry key or the My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NetIQ\Exchange Migrator\Hotfix (64-bit) registry key to the following value: 73196.
