Resolution

A fix for this issue is available. A new version of the Analytics_CompleteNTCounters Ks is available.

This KS changes any values reported by perfmon over 100% to 100% and resolves the issue by allowing data points to be created.

The KS is available by contacting NetIQ technical support and referencing this Knowledge base article.

Cause

The version of Analytics_CompleteNTCounters that ships with AMPP 4.1.2 uses the Physical Disk > %Idle counter in place of the Physical Disk > % Disk Time counter which was used in earlier versions of the Ks.

When a value of over 100% is read from perfmon for Physical Disk > %Idle, no data point is created and you see missing data for disks in work load assistant.

The Disk index cannot be calculated because of the missing data and this index is required for workload calculations.
