NetIQ Aegis 2.2

Situation

If you apply activity-related hotfixes to your Aegis 2.1 environment, and then upgrade to Aegis 2.2, the installation program for Aegis 2.2 installs the pre-hotfix versions of the Aegis2.1 activities.
Workflows you created in Aegis 2.1 using post-hotfix versions of the activities do not function correctly.
The Modify Work Item Permissions activity modifies the permissions on the specified work item and all other work items in the database.

Resolution

To correct the following issues, please install Hotfix 73091 for NetIQ Aegis.  This Hotfix replaces Hotfix 72998.

  • This hotfix resolves an issue where Aegis 2.2 installs the incorrect versions of activities for workflows you created in Aegis 2.1
  • This hotfix resolves an issue with the Modify Work Item Permissions activity.

To install this hotfix:

  1. Log on to the Aegis Server computer with a local administrator account.
  2. Run the Aegis22_Hotfix73091.exe file.
  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard until you have finished installing the hotfix.
  4. If your Aegis Server computer is part of a cluster, repeat Steps 1 through 3 on the remaining nodes in the cluster.
  5. Restart any open instances of the Operations Console or the Configuration Console.


The hotfix installation program automatically restarts the following Aegis services:

  • NetIQ Aegis Namespace Provider
  • NetIQ Aegis Engine
  • NetIQ Aegis Activity Broker
  • NetIQ Aegis Correlation Engine

Cause

These issues are caused by known problems in previous versions of the application.
