Situation

COM class factory error when trying to connect to DRA server

Error when trying to connect to DRA server

Retrieving the COM class factory for remote component with CLSID {3DC28EE4-79B3-11D2-909D-00A0C9AFE0AA} from machine failed due to the following error: 8007042d.

Resolution

The DRA Service account was locked out from permissions to run the service. To resolve this issue, allow the DRA Service account to run the NetIQ Administration Service and restart the service.
