This hotfix resolves an issue where the NetIQ Aegis Adapter for AppManager (AppManager adapter) cannot match registered computer resources in the Resource Management database to the resources in new AppManager events. Before you apply this hotfix, if you are using the AppManager adapter in an Aegis 2.1 environment, and then upgrade to Aegis 2.2, a change to the Resource Management database causes the AppManager adapter to get stuck in an infinite loop when it attempts to synchronize computer resources between an AppManager repository and the Resource Management database. After you apply this hotfix, the AppManager adapter will be able to successfully synchronize resources.


Complete the following steps to install this hotfix.

To install this hotfix:

  1. Log on to the Aegis Server computer with a local administrator account.
  2. Run the Aegis22_Hotfix73034.exe file.
  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard until you have finished installing the service pack.

    The hotfix installation program automatically restarts the following Aegis services:
  • NetIQ Aegis Namespace Provider
  • NetIQ Aegis Namespace Provider (pre-2.2)
  • NetIQ Aegis Engine
  • NetIQ Aegis Activity Broker
  • NetIQ Aegis Correlation Engine


This hotfix modifies the following files in the C:\Program Files\NetIQ\Aegis\IQConnect\bin folder on the Aegis Server computer:

  • iqrmclient.dll (Build Number
  • iqrmclient_assembly.dll (Build Number

    This hotfix adds the following files to the C:\Program Files\NetIQ\Aegis\IQConnect73 folder on the Aegis Server computer:
