Situation

How do I move the Domain Access account information into ADAM / ADLS?

Resolution

To manually run the Store LSA data to ADLS utility:

  1. Ensure that ADAM / ADLS has been properly extended (See KB: NETIQKB73017)
  2. Logon to the Windows Console of each DRA Server as the DRA Service Account (Start with the Primary DRA Server)
  3. Launch a command prompt
  4. run the following command: <Path to DRA Program Files>\StoreLSADatatoADLS.exe
  5. Restart the Netiq DRA Administration Service

 

Cause

Starting with DRA 8.6 SP1, the configuration for the Domain Access Account(s) is moved into the DRA ADAM / ADLS Instance. The SP1 installer will spawn a utility to move this information from the Registry on the Primary DRA Server into the ADAM / ADLS instance on the server. During the next full MMS sync this information will be replicated to all DRA Servers.
