This hotfix for the AppManager Operator Web Console resolves specific issues.
This hotfix replaces Hotfixes 71473, 71246, and 71112. For more information about those releases, see Previous Releases.
Why Install This Hotfix?
This hotfix resolves the following Operator Web Console issues:
Error Customizing Views with Multiple Repositories Configured
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Operator Web Console either collapses or clears the selection of Views for any repository other than the host repository when attempting to configure the console from the Customize Portal window. (ENG238080)
The AMAdmin_DeleteExpiredReports Knowledge Script Fails
This hotfix resolves an issue where the AMAdmin_DeleteExpiredReports Knowledge Script fails to run due to an Object not a collection error. This hotfix resolves this issue only if the Operator Web Console and the report agent are installed on the same computer. (ENG272516)
Certain Charts No Longer Working in AppManager 7.x
This hotfix resolves an issue where some charts built from older SQL queries using the index Data_DataID_idx do not work in AppManager 7.x. (ENG272520)
Buffer Overrun Error When Logging in to Chart Console
This hotfix resolves an issue where a buffer overrun error occurs when attempting to start the Chart Console after upgrading from AppManager 6.x to AppManager 7.x. The error is caused by the length of the AppManager repository server name as defined in the Chart Console. This hotfix resolves the issue by permitting server names longer than 29 characters. Size of Report Graphs Incorrect After Upgrading from AppManager 6.x to AppManager 7.x
This hotfix resolves an issue where the proportion of height to width for report graphs is incorrect after upgrading from AppManager 6.x to AppManager 7.x. This hotfix resolves this issue only if the Operator Web Console and the report agent are installed on the same computer. (ENG272528)
Error When Editing Filters
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Operator Web Console displays a VBScript runtime error when attempting to edit filters. (ENG281531)
Unable to Run NetIQ Diagnostics on Windows 2003 Computer with AppManager Agent Version 7.0.2 Installed
This hotfix resolves an issue where the process for the NetIQdiag.exe file disappears after clicking the Diagnose button in the Diagnostic wizard. (ENG300103)
Error When Attempting to Display QDB
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Operator Web Console displays a "The page cannot be displayed" error when attempting to view the QDB. (ENG279373)
Error When Sorting by Open Events or Event Cross-Section Columns
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Operator Web Console displays a "The page cannot be displayed" error when you attempt to sort the list of computers by either the Open Events or Events Cross-Section columns. (ENG279359)
Incorrect Event Collapsing Interval Displayed
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Operator Web Console displays an incorrect time interval for the collapsing of duplicate events into a single event. The correct interval displays in the Operator Console and Control Center console and event collapsing works correctly despite the display error in the Operator Web Console. (ENG277731)
The Action_RunKS Knowledge Script Fails to Create Jobs
This hotfix resolves an issue where the Action_RunKS Knowledge Script fails to create jobs when the Knowledge Script is configured to not use the default security credentials even if valid alternate credentials are provided. (ENG310451)
Note
The Action_RunKS Knowledge Script requires the NetIQOLE.dll file. If you want to use this Knowledge Script or any other Knowledge Script that utilizes OLE, the NetIQOLE.dll file must be registered on the agent computer where you want to run the Action_RunKS Knowledge Script. This file is already registered on computers where you have installed the Operator Console, the Web Management Server, or a reporting agent. For any other computer, you must either install one of these components or manually copy and register the NetIQOLE.dll file.To manually register the NetIQOLE.dll file:
- Copy the NetIQOLE.dll file from any computer where you installed this hotfix onto the computer where you want to register it.
- At a command prompt type regsvr32 netiqole.dll.
If you are running Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2, start the command prompt with the Run as administrator option.- Press Enter.
System Requirements
This hotfix requires Hotfix 72040 to be installed on all AppManager repository (QDB) computers. If you have installed the AppManager Currency Pack, you do not need to install hotfix 72040.

Installing This Hotfix
Complete the following steps to install this hotfix.
To install this hotfix:
- Close the Operator Web Console.
- Run AM704_HF73019_Setup.exe on all computers where Operator Web Console version 7.0.4 is installed.
The PATCH.log file lists all changes and problems encountered during the installation process. The Windows installer log file, AM704_Hotfix73019_Setup.exe.log, lists only the changes associated with the hotfix installation. By default, these files are located in the \NetIQ\Temp\NetIQ_Debug folder.
