Resolution

The default maximum size for files allowed for use in the File Replication feature in DRA is 5MB.  This size limit can be increased however.  To increase the default maximum size for files, perform the following steps:

  1. Launch regedit and map to the following path:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mission Critical Software\OnePoint\Administration\Data\Modules\UserInterface\Settings\NameValuePairs
  2. Edit the string called "Maximum Replicated File Size" value data to be larger than the 5MB default and click OK.
  3. Exit regedit.
  4. Restart the NetIQ Administration service for DRA to pick up the registry change.

Cause

The default size limit for files to be used in File Replication is 5MB.  Attempting to upload a file or files larger than that will result in the error message.

Additional Information

Formerly known as NETIQKB72985

Please note: Increasing the default size limit will increase the time it takes to upload larger files into DRA's File Transfer folder.  It may also temporarily impact performance of the DRA server as Admins launch the 32bit console and download the file(s) from the server, especially if multiple Admins are attempting to launch the ARM at once and get the download.
