Environment

Depending environmental archival monitoring not configuring central computer(s) and log archive server(s) MSMQ queue to 8GB may cause archival messages to queue up due to insufficient MSMQ system resources. Messages will not have access to the log archive server(s), and no messages will be sent from the central computer(s) to their log archive(s).

Situation

The central computer(s) and log archive server(s) requires Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) to be at least 8 GB.

Resolution

By default the MSMQ may be set to 1048576 on the central computer and log archive. They both need to be set to 8048576. Once this is done you will need to restart the Message Queuing Service. To change MSMQ queue properties you will need to go to computer management - right click on Message Queue and go to properties.

Cause

The Security Manager setup Prerequisites tool, requires MSMQ to be at least 8GB.
