Environment

NetIQ Analysis Center 2.7.5
Microsoft Windows 2008
Microsoft Windows 7

Situation

Windows 2008 UAC may cause Analysis Center report deployment to fail or deployed reports are not seen in SQL Reporting Services
Security options & configurations in SSRS Report Manager when Windows 2008 UAC is enabled for the logged on user

Resolution

To resolve this issue you may need to take the following configuration steps in Windows 2008 & SQL Reporting Services:

-Ensure that correct permissions & roles are assigned to the user logged into the Analysis Center Console in SQL Reporting Services.  Please refer to SQL Books Online or Microsoft TechNet for more information on how to assign specific permissions in SSRS

-Launch Internet Explorer using the 'Run As Administrator' option when viewing reports from Microsoft Windows 7 or Microsoft Windows 2008 in the SQL Reporting Services Report Manager web interface.

-Disable UAC for SQL Reporting Services Users if allowed by your security policy or set the option in Internet Explorer to always 'Run As Administrator'

Cause

Windows 2008 UAC restrictions can prevent Analysis Center reports from being deployed or viewed in Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.
