No new events are showing in the operator console after migrating to the platform update. (NETIQKB72860)

After updating the AppManager repository to a Windows 2008R2 server and SQL 2008 using the Platform Update package, the environment seems to be working but no new events are appearing in the Operator Console.

Verify the follow details and correct any discrepancies:

1. Verify that all Management Servers in the environment have been registered with the current repository.
   • This can be accomplished by doing the following:
     • Find the Management Server in the Operator Console treeview pane.
     • Select the Management Server and pre ALT+F8 and note the 'objid = #####' in the Title Bar of the window that pops up.
     • Run the following query in SQL against the QDB databse: select * from msdesignation
     • Verify that the OBJID for the Management Server that you copied down previously exists in this list.
       • If it does NOT exist, reinstall the management server and apply Hotfix 72041.
       • If it does exist, perform step 2 below.
2. Verify that all Management Servers in the environment are using the 7.0.25 or above version of the Management Server Service.

Either the Management Server is running the 7.0.1 or below version or the MS has not been registered with the QDB after migrating.
