Situation

Exchange 2007 tasks fail after the license is updated

Unable to perform any Exchange 2007 related tasks after installing a new license.

Resolution

The NetIQ.DRA.Server.X2K7Module.dll assembly requires re-registery using the 32-bit command prompt.  To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps:

  1. Stop the NetIQ Administration service.
  2. Register NetIQ.DRA.Server.X2K7Module.dll.
    • Syntax: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727>RegAsm.exe "c:\Program Files (x86)\NetIQ\DRA\x64\NetIQ.DRA.Server.X2K7Module.dll"
  3. Start the NetIQ Administration service.

Cause

After applying a new license key in DRA the NetIQ.DRA.Server.X2K7Module.dll .net assembly becomes unregistered.
