Situation
HP Openview operation connector NOT forwarding events to OpenView.
Resolution
This is still being considered by Development, but our connector installer needs to (a) explicitly try setting the permissions we need on these keys and (b) throw up an error message when it is unable to do so in the installer.
(HKLM\Software\NetIQ\AppManager\4.0\netiqms\Integration).
Cause
The HP Openview connector?s installer does not explicitly set any registry permissions on the subkeys it creates, instead using whatever would be the parent (HKLM\Software\NetIQ\AppManager\4.0\netiqms\Integration). Due to security restrictiveness does not allow inheritance so Integration\ITO subkeys do not obtain the read/set/query value permissions the connector needs. The connector is never able to initialize.
