Environment
NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager 5.8.1
Situation
When you run or schedule a job it creates a blank report. Completed reports return no data after you run a policy template against a managed group containing an unmanaged endpoint.
Resolution
To work around this issue, delete the orphaned endpoint from the asset map or reassign the endpoint to an active agent. This issue will be permanently fixed in the next service pack for SCM.
Cause
This issue might occur after you delete an agent but do not delete the endpoint or do not assign the unmanaged endpoint to another agent. The endpoint persists in the managed group in which you originally placed the endpoint. When you attempt to run a policy template against that managed group, Secure Configuration Manager cannot find an agent for the endpoint, and then aborts the job. The resulting report contains no data.
