Hotfix 72668 for NetIQ Aegis VMware VCenter Adapter (NETIQKB72668)

This hotfix resolves an issue where the vCenter adapter does not recognize VMware vNetwork Distributed Switch.
Before you apply this hotfix, the vCenter adapter does not display a namespace object for VMware vNetwork Distributed Switch.
After you apply this hotfix, the vCenter adapter will display the IQVMware_DistributedVirtualSwitch object in the namespace.

Why Install This Hotfix?

This hotfix resolves an issue where the vCenter adapter does not recognize VMware vNetwork Distributed Switch. Before you apply this hotfix, the vCenter adapter does not display a namespace object for VMware vNetwork Distributed Switch. After you apply this hotfix, the vCenter adapter will display the IQVMware_DistributedVirtualSwitch object in the namespace. (ENG299494)

To install this hotfix:

1. Log on to the Aegis Server computer with a local administrator account.
2. Run the AegisvCenterAdapter11_Hotfix72668.exe file.
3. Follow the instructions in the wizard until you have finished installing the hotfix.

The hotfix installation program automatically restarts the following Aegis services:

• NetIQ Aegis Namespace Provider
• NetIQ Aegis Engine
• NetIQ Aegis Activity Broker
• NetIQ Aegis Correlation Engine
