Situation

Security Manager does not generate an alert if the Central Computer cannot communicate with the Agents

Resolution

Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Security Manager 6.5 corrects this issue.

Cause

If a Central Computer (CC) fails or otherwise cannot communicate with the agents the computer manages, Security Manager does not alert the user that the central computer failed.

After the installation of SP3, If you have multiple central computers in a configuration group, each central computer now checks for any missing heartbeats from the other central computers in the group and generates an alert.
