Unable to add NetIQ Web Part to Sharepoint in Analysis Center 2.7


Web Part Error: A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Web Part Page cannot be displayed or imported because it is not registered on this site as safe.

Run the following command to make Microsoft ASP.Net 2.0 the root installed used by Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS):

c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

Once this is done reset IIS by running the following command in the command prompt:

 

iisreset

You should then be able to add the Analysis Center Web Part to the Sharepoint site.

Analysis Center Web Parts 2.6 works fine on SharePoint Sites using ASP 1.1; however Analysis Center 2.7 does not work on SharePoint Sites using ASP 1.1, so SharePoint Site where Analysis Center 2.7 Web Part is installed needs to be changed to use Microsoft ASP.Net 2.0.

You may encounter an error from Sharepoint stating:

'The Windows SharePoint Services virtual server has not been configured for use with ASP.NET 2.0.xxxxx.0'

Run the following command as stated in Microsoft KB article 894903 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894903 )

stsadm -o upgrade -forceupgrade -url http://XXX

where XXX is the URL of the Sharepoint Virtual Server
