Situation

NetIQ Reporting Center report "User Account Details" is displaying most of our accounts as having expired.

Why does the NRC show most user accounts as expired?

Why does the NRC account experiation date differ from the DRA value?

Resolution

The NRC 1.0 (Included with DRA 8.5 & 8.6) has a known issue with displaying the value for an account experation date set to Never. The NRC will display Jan 1 1753 12:00. This issue is addressed with NRC 1.5 -- Included with DRA 8.6 SP1.

Cause

DRA uses the AD Collector to gather the AD attributes for various AD objects and upload this data into the NRC. One attribute that is collected is the Account Expiration date. In some cases AD will set the expiration date to a value of 0.
