Situation
Is the DRA Reporting component supported on a SQL cluster?
Can the DRA Reporting components be installed on a SQL cluster?
Can the DRA Reporting components be installed on a SQL cluster?
Resolution
The DRA Reporting Setup must be run on a standalone SQL Server that is not part of a SQL cluster. At this time there is no support for a virtual SQL Server name.
NetIQ Reporting Center installer may support a SQL Server. For the DRA implementation of NRC, it is required that the NRC Configuration Database and the DRA Reporting Database reside in the same instance of SQL. For this reason when NRC is used with DRA reporting there is no SQL Cluster support as well.

Cause
The DRA Reporting Setup.exe (DRA 8.7.x and newer) and DRAReporting.msi
(DRA 8.5.x and 8.6.x) must be run directly on the SQL Server Windows OS
itself. For this reason neither installer is able to use a virtual
cluster name nor be installed remotely.
