Situation

What are the steps to install the NetIQ UNIX Agent manually? (not through UNIX manager deployment)

Resolution

To install the UNIX Agent manually you will need the following files copied over to the UNIX system:

  • install.sh - Installation script
  • nssu_<OS>.taz - Archive of UNIX Agent files
  • setup.tar - Archive of initialization scripts

After transferring the files above to your UNIX system, execute the install.sh script and follow the prompts.

Please do not change the case or name of the installation files as this will cause the installation to fail.
