Situation

Will the NetIQ UNIX Agent run on VMWare ESXi?

Resolution

ESXi does not provide the standard Linux/UNIX commands NetIQ utilizes to monitor system resources, in addition to this ESXi does not contain a system shell (bash,sh,etc).

Given the facts above, the NetIQ UNIX Agent will not run on ESXi at this time.
