Situation
Adding Scripts to GPOs in Repository Does Not Behave as Expected
Selecting Add and then Browse will not expose the correct folder in the local GPOs share.
Selecting Add and then Browse will not expose the correct folder in the local GPOs share.
Resolution
To workaround this issue:
- The user has to copy the scripts in the Local GPOs folder location, which can be accessed by clicking on the ?Show Files? button.
- After coping the script file user need to click on the ?Add? button and browse to the Local GPOs path and selected the copied script file.
- After selecting the script file user need to delete the file path and just leave the script file name in the edit box (Edit box for the script name field). This will work as expected and there will be no issues with the script execution. These steps needs to be performed for all scripts which user wants to add to a GPO.
Cause
If you attempt to add a script to a GPO, it will not expose the correct folder in the local GPOs share, even if you hav e correctly copied the scripts to the correct folder using the "Show Files" button.
