How do I uninstall NetIQ Aegis manually from a machine?

Note:  The IQConnect, IQRM, ResourceManagement and IQConnectHosts registry keys could be shared by other products using IQRM or IQConnect.  The IQRM DB *IS* very likely to be a shared component on a box where Aegis and Panorama exist?so care must be taken there. There is currently no mechanism for purging Aegis specific or Aegis collected data out of IQRM currently.  If IQRM is shared please contact NetIQ Techincal Support before performing the steps in this Knowledge Base article.

Please review this entire article before proceeding with the uninstall.

NetIQ recommends following the steps below to uninstall NetIQ Aegis:

1. Open Add/Remove Programs
2. Click on ?NetIQ Aegis?
3. Click on ?Remove?
4. Click ?Next? a few times
5. Open SQL Management Studio
6. Drop the Aegis & IQRM databases
7. Delete the database files from the filesystem of the database server

If for some reason you are not able to perform the steps listed above the following steps can be performance to remove the NetIQ Aegis installation manually:

1. Drop the DBs (Aegis & IQRM)
2. Delete the files in the installation directory ....\Program Files\NetIQ\Aegis
3. Kill the registry HKLM/Software/NetIQ/{AegisIQConnect, IQConnect, IQRM, ResourceManagement, ProcessGovernance, IQConnectHosts)
4. Remove the MSMQs (activityrequest_netiq_pg_engine, activityresponse_netiq_pg_engine, iqsch_ext_activation, pg_object_transfer, pg_object_transfer_serial,  wfbpersistancequeue_<hostname>, workflowstatetransder_netiq_pg_engine)
5. Remove the uninstall info in the registry? HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall
