Environment

NetIQ Secure Confuration Manager 5.7

NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager agent for Windows 5.7

Situation

When running a report against a SQL 2005 endpoint the results come back with a \ next to the ? and it does not below. The results appear like \? in the resulting parameters.

Resolution

When a check returns a string that includes ?, the Secure Configuration Manager console displays \?. There is no fix needed for this issue because the results are disigned to return this way.

Cause

The Secure Configuration Manager console adds a backslash before question marks in parameters reported by SQL Server 2005 checks.
