Situation

Creating users Home profile path displaying %username% twice

Resolution

Hotfix 71366 corrects an issue with Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) displaying the user name twice in the home directory path after creating a home directory for a user. After applying this hotfix, DRA displays the user name only once in the home directory path.

Note: You need to install DRA 8.1 Service Pack 2 before installing Hotfix 71366.

To install this hotfix, perform the following steps on each Administration server computer:

  1. Close all DRA user interfaces.
  2. Run the DRA8102_Hotfix71366.msi file.

Hotfix 71366 modifies the McsHomeShareTriggers.dll file on each computer where you installed an Administration server. By default, this file is located in the Program Files\NetIQ\DRA folder.

Cause

DRA was incorrectly displaying a portion of the home directory path in duplicate.  This led to further issues when cloning user accounts that this display problem.
