User/umask and system/umask checks not returning correct data for Redhat (NETIQKB71329)

Environment

MODIFIES the file ./cmnagent/lib/libUnixUser.so on the agent computer system.

Situation

The checks return values that do not corelate with the values that you see when you do a umask as the user.

Resolution

  1. Apply prerequisite hotfix 70704 - patch 13 or 5.6.0.13 as seen in the Patch Mgr inside Unix Manager
  2. Apply hotfix 71329 - patch 19 or 5.6.0.19 as seen in the Patch Mgr inside Unix Manager

Cause

Parsing of umask data is incorrect for files of users who default shell is bask.

Downloading patches:

  1. Go to www.netiq.com/support
  2. Support & Services  > Online Product Support
  3. In the 'Select A Product' drop down select either   NetIQ Secure Configuration Manager   or   NetIQ Security Manager
  4. click   Hotfixes
  5. From the 'Select Component to View Available Hotfixes' drop down select 'NetIQ Security Agent for Unix'
  6. click the 5.60 tab   > click the desired hotfix
  7. under the 'Download Package' box at the bottom of each patch description click on the p56p19.zip to begin the download
