Situation
Failed to determine the Exchange version for Exchange Administrative Group
Trying to update a user's properties in Directory and Resource Administratoran error is generated stating "Failed to determine the Exchange version for Exchange Administrative Group"
When making modifications to mail enabled objects in Directory and Resource Administrator, Failed to determine the Exchange version for Exchange Administrative Group is presented when trying to commit the changes.
LegacyExchangeDN attribute is pointing to a container in Exchange that no longer exists.

Resolution
Install Directory and Resource Administrator 8.1 SP1 Hotfix 71024.
To install this hotfix:
- Close all DRA user interfaces.
- Run the DRA81000_Hotfix71024.msi file on each Administration server computer.
Hotfix 71024 modifies the following files on each computer where you installed an Administration server. By default, these files are located in the Program Files\NetIQ\DRA folder.
- Accounts.dll
- ExchProvider.dll
Otherwise, upgrade to the most current version of DRA to resolve this issue.
Cause
When you enable email for groups in Directory and Resource Administrator, if the Microsoft Exchange Administrative group you have selected does not have any Microsoft Exchange servers associated with it, Directory and Resource Administrator displays the error, "Cannot determine Microsoft Exchange version."
