When a timeout occurs, first validate that you have SP4 applied for SM6.0. If you are on 6.0, 6.0 SP1 or 6.0 SP2 you will most likely see this issue.
However, if a 1019 event occurs in SM 6.0 SP4, in order to resolve this you will need to modify a field in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NetIQ\Security Manager\LogArchiveConfiguration.config called BulkCopyTimeOutInSeconds . Try doubling the value that is set in this field and restarting the Log Archive service. If this does not address the issue, contact NetIQ Technical Support.
This field is Exposed in later versions of the Log Archive Configuration Utility in the Log Archive Server Settings pane. It is near the bottom of the configuration. The default has been changed to accomodate most customers by default.
