OS not supported when install AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 on various operating systems (NETIQKB70984)

Situation

AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports RedHat 5.1 is not supported
AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports RedHat 5.2 is not supported
AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports RedHat 5.3 is not supported
AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports RedHat 5.4 is not supported
AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports HP-UX 11i v3 is not supported
AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer reports AIX 6.1 is not supported

Resolution

While running the AppManager for UNIX 7.0.1 installer, append the --ignore-os argument to bypass the OS check.

Cause

RedHat 5.1 (and other version updates) were released after AppManager 7.0.1.  Specifically with RedHat releases after 5.0, RedHat changed the format of the /etc/redhat-release file.

The initial installer for the AppManager 7.0.1 UNIX Agent was not confirming the Operating System version HP-UX 11i V3 or AIX 6.1.
